Greetings Lineage players! All Lineage servers will be brought down at 1pm CST / 2pm EST / 7pm GMT for a game update. Estimated downtime is expected to be under two hours.
Patch Notes 12/17:
Haunted House Manager Duo's dialogue has been updated to correctly reflect how the rewards for the HH work.
1-3 participants will reward the winner with a Bronze Pumpkin of a Brave Man.
4-6 participants will reward the winner with a Silver Pumpkin of a Brave Man.
7-10 participants will reward the winner with a Gold Pumpkin of a Brave Man.
The profanity filter has been updated.
On the 4th floor of Lastavard, all text that was in Korean has been translated.
Several Mac Client fixes have been made:
MAC - NPC test will now appear in white, not red.
MAC - F1-F3 commands will now work when there is chat in the text window.
MAC - Music slider now functions properly.
MAC - Spell casting icons had a graphical glitch that has been corrected.
In addition to these changes, today marks the beginning of our double drop rate event! All drop rates have been doubled today! This drop rate change will last until January 7th, so get out there and have fun! On December 24th, polymorphs will start to become available to players of all levels and every few days, more polymorphs will unlock!
Regretting your decision of throwing your ring aside last week, you wander over to shrubs where it landed and begin searching for it. The something else is New NC soft Anti elf theft device.....
instant end for elf class :)
I really want +2 int.... but I can live with new elf upgrade !!
Lyz was talking about +10int and -400hp last night.... that would be sooo funny !!!

Um... has anyone noticed an actual change in drop rates? I haven't really seen anything too significant unless there's a set time that you have to wait until it actually kicks in...

You will not notice anything really. More less you will find that stuff that drops very often already will just drop more but its not goin to jump out at you. Now stuff that you get like once a month you might get once in 2 weeks. 2x drop event is another way to trick people into grinding allday. zzzzzzzzzzzzz

It all depends where you are hunting. In some area the 2x PROBABILITIES are very noticable.

Yah, there is a 2x probability that Ogre will drop 43a and Iffy will drop 123a and Salamander drop 2 Rubies.
:P
Personally, I'd rather have 2x drop than a 2x probability event, but again, that's just me. I guess I'll play regardless.

how come kg ring isn't random at all anymore?.... kinda sucks having good kg rings every 9/10 weeks instead of something new, different, or sucky...

i would say the kgr is right for the event. It would be upsetting for some if it were advantageous for some classes and not for others (last kgr for example) during a time when being more effective because of rings is enhanced further by the event.
Seems all or none were the only options - and rather than give ppl 1 more thing to complain about (useless KGR) during a time when NC staff will be on break and less inclined to read the babble, they go for all.
If you could not tell, my opinion is that it is a good ring for the time.

no i understand that. its just back before we had loa.. i always heard about you guys getting morphs with the ring, random good and bad stats all the time but never any real major stats. When we got loa it was kinda the same. 1-2 good stats, 1-2 bad stats to equal out the ring every... 1-2 months when they felt like changing it. But it seems to me for the past like.. 9 months, theres only been a total of maybe 4-5 kg rings that were BAD to AVERAGE.... all the others, have been awesome to godly rings.... +2 str, +2 int, +2 dex every week a diff stat but consistant instead of randomly generated like it was intented to be. Now +1 to all stats?
im just asking if when capt left, did he take his random generator for the kg ring away? since this is controllable by NCNA/NCW, I'd like to see something actually random again like it was intended to be. Some perma spells on the kg rings, some useless kg rings, useful, godly, morphs, + stats, - stats, random stuff instead of always predictable and the same...
you want +2-4 int, take away 2-4+ str so you carry way less. you want + 2-4 str for damage, take away 2-4+ dex so you sacrifice your hit for more damage... but anyways, you get the point. :)

I think it was said that the kg will be random once again, but it was only just recently done so we won't see it for a while yet and they gave us nice ring for the holidays :) Just wait until next year and I'm sure we will see some nasty bad rings...

Yay. Now i can take the esc out of my nostromo macros. Which would still sometimes get messed up if you had text AND tabs open.
Now, can you fix F4 to work when there is chat in the text window? For example, i drag my pile of pots to the ground, type 1 and hit return, and am left with a cursor in the text box. In order to pick that pot up with f4 i need to hit esc. 2 bugs actually.

when you deal with an action window in your chat screen it always leaves the cursor on the chat line at the bottom of the screen. It used to clear itself when you clicked on the ground but ever since they fixed it so you can type while you swing, you have to press enter to disperse it.
But yes, its a bug that you can't f4 with anything in the chat bar.
