I was hoping to get your official response on what to do when we run across a bot? I am on ken and just outside the upper gate of oren there is one going non-stop, at least ever time i log on . would be very easy to find. I have heard all kinds of things i should do but wanted your official advice. thanks for your hard work and concern.

report it to a monitor and turn it in to support. That is that plan and simple.

I do enjoy leadding bots to diffrent spot by dropping aden a on the ground infrount of monitors is classic.

The best thing to do is report it to support. I spoke with the GM Support rep yesterday and he cleared out all that were submitted over the weekend (resulting in over 30 accounts banned).

You should also feel free to PM with /loc coordinates of "infested areas" (I know a few of the more obvious ones).

I hope some of the banned were from Dep server. I submitted screen shots of people saying they botted, and I still saw those characters playing :(

Its very easy to say your a bot or use hacks... Just because you say it doesnt mean you do...

For instance. I had the title of 'I am a bot' on my heal 'bot' character that I follow myself around with... Even though its not actually a bot because it is being fully controlled by me, it can look bot like...

Well, unfortunately I hunt my royal in owl, which means I spend time in oren regening and buying pots. I'm also familiar with the bots and adena farmers that infest owl, and many of them will come up to me when I'm in town trying to join my bp. I already know they're bots from what they do in owl, which is why I ask. Anyone dumb enough to admit they're a bot deserves to be banned. I even had one threaten me yesterday, after I told him I didn't accept bots into my bp. Some of them are probably adena farmers and not bots, or maybe just bots that spend some time under human control. I can't tell the difference. As for bot like behavior - yes, I witnessed it in full while hunting. I also witnessed the bot protector, who turned out to be a high lvl mage from a small asian bp who came after me when I venzed his bot too many times.

I'd really like to say i think that's the first time i've seen an NC official tell us something like that. Capt, you're doing a great job and i'm glad to see you're back. Keep on truckin'! heh

Capt., I haven't always liked everything you've done but I will say that NC's (N.A.) attitude towards bots changed dramatically when you came back and I couldn't be happier with the direction this is going.

NC's old attitude and process for dealing with bots was totally incapable of dealing with the sheer volume of bot activity, to the point of being completely innefective.

But you've come and now we're going to be saved - you're going to save our game from the bots!!

Merry its the 2nd time now he has given us numbers ;) At least puts us in the scope of things as far as what is going on until his bot tools get up and running. Let the bots hit the floor!! =P

Yeah, I think I mentioned last week somewhere when the GM banned over 100 in a day. The CS team is plugging away--send your report to them. Please don't become automatically discouraged if a reported user isn't immediately banned, we do have to confirm that we're not banning legitimate folks.

Capt, thanks so much for your burning desire to lessen the impact of bots on all our N.A. servers. This is a great turn of events for us die-hard fans of Lineage.

Recently i've encountered an increase of people using some speedhack, and its pretty hard to take a screenshot of someone speedhacking ;)

Shanin it is actually fairly easy to see if someone uses a speedhack when taking a SS. When they are elves they use b2s and go 5steps ahead. The average player starts to move just as the circle thing disappears. What you do... is you SS them as they are running around casting b2s. Then you SS when they cast and SS when they move again and are half a screen ahead. Then get someone you know that is an elf and have them cast b2s and move then ss again when the thing goes is about to disappear and compare the SS's. Or.... you could always do the old fashioned whis a monitor to get this responses. "I am looking into it.", "I am checking the same.", and "Please report to support" (no these aren't exactly what they say o.o). I don't bother with support so i dont report them XD

haha yes and give me global access again, lift my chat ban... i know i said some bad stuff but it's been 2 years and i've learned my lesson =/

but sadly i don't remember my original acct info, i was like 13 when i made my acct and no 13 year old has the good sense to write down original payment info ><
