oh so if i post here 200 times with nonsense i become a fake veteran? so your telling me that we have fake veterans who obvisouly dont know what the heck they are talking about and the only reason they are a veteran is because they spammed the board asking a question that a veteran should already know or know the around abouts of. So heres what you need to do... reset your account name that way your count starts over then you can repost to your post 200-250 times and tell us all the correct answer. QUIT SPAMMING YOU FAKE VETERAN >,.<

Seriously, people, stop the hate...

What does it really matter what the title under the board name says?

07-31-2006, 06:08 AM
BECAUSE IT LETS THE PERSON KNOW WHO HAS BEEN PLAYING FOR A WHILE AND IS KNOWLEGABLE TO THE GAME AND READS A LOT OF POSTS THAT INFORM HIM/HER THUS ENTITLING THEM TO SUCH A RANK. doing this allows people who are newer to the game to take the opinions of everyone but look more in depth of those who have a greater title. Also it allows me to know taht the info provided by the "eldermaster" is not B/s.

WELL OK I GUESS THAT IS A GOOD ENOUGH REASON... YOU ARE JUST LOOKING TO MAKE SURE THAT THE INFORMATION POSTED BY THE SUPPOSED 'Veteran' IS INFACT RELIABLE 'Veteran' QUALITY INFORMATION...

BAH.... CAPS ARE SO LOUD AND POINTLESS.. OMG IM YELLING...

BUT YOUR DEFINITION IS FLAWED. WHAT IF I PLAY THE GAME FOR 5 YEARS AND KNOW A LOT BUT I ONLY START POSTING ON THE BOARDS FROM TODAY THEREBY TITLING ME A YOUNGSTER OR VISITOR? DOES THAT MAKE ME ANY LESS KNOWLEDGABLE? NO! Sorry for caps.

The rank means nothing...

Look at my rank, and then ask me an in-depth question about the game...

I guarantee you won't be impressed with the answer. /images/icons/tongue.gif

Why not just go level in lin, that's what actually matters.

I only post when I am unable to play at work =]

yes because you get way more information from the boards than you do in game. there are several learning methods in the world and one is HANDS ON but also it is good to know for a fact what is actually going on in the game and the boards allow you to completly understand all updates. Granted your ingame knowledge may be a great source of information but you still need to know the very specific information and take in consideration of other players that post thier opinions before posting on something that might have only happened to you. I am not saying that a youngster doesnt know what he is talking about but i will take in consideration a guardians opinion over a youngsters because in order to be a guardian you have to read and post and think of all possibilities. Also you dont become a higher rank on the board over night therefore allowing the people processing the information given by the "higher ranks" to know that the person posting has done his research and therefore is a reliable source. by no means did i mean to imply not to take in consideration the remarks made by a youngster but what i was getting at is that someone who spams his way to a higher rank ruins the Reliability of a Guardian.

I wish I could read and post on boards at work, but it's against our IT policy to read forum boards and blogs. So I have to wait until I get home. :(
