First of. Thanks you Crickette for giving me the ok to post this.
Seems the client have trouble with one background sound in FV. What the precise source for the bug is I cant tell. But I am told that a fix is in the work now after the problem is pinpointed.
Until said fix comes, here is a workaround for us Macintosh User. The corresponding sound need to be disabled, then the problem is gone. This post is about how to do that.
First of, locate the game itself. With a 2 Button mouse you can select the game and use the right mouse button to open the context menu. Choose the option "Show Package Contents". Have a look here (http://www.laraine.de/x/LinMenue.jpg) if you are unsure what I mean.
A new finder window opens up, showing the Contents of the game. Open the parent folder, then open the Folder called "Resources" and lastly the folder called "sound". There are a lot files in this folder. Have a look here (http://www.laraine.de/x/LinWhere.jpg) if you are unsure how to locate the files we look for.
Locate the file "1225.wav" and rename it. I renamed it to "1225OFF.wav". Moving the file out of the folder and store it somewhere will work as well.
Now close the window and open Lineage.
Happy hunting in Firevalley.
