Yeah... at the risk of my account blowing up, I'll have to say, we haven't seen success from Richard Garriott since the days of UO. :)

When I first joined Lineage he had a custom avatar character and I thought he'd be involved, but besides a few cameo event appearances. (which were actually really kool like when he fought the dragons) it wasn't much involvement.

He also recently cranked out the massive failure that is Tabula Rasa. I've yet to see a massively succesful futuristic sci-fi setting MMO.

good god that Tabula Rasa fiasco. my friends were saying its gonna be the next best thing since pants with pockets. well...

Well of course, he can afford the advertising for something like that.

He no longer works directly with this branch of NC which he was the head of. I believe he received a promotion of some sort. Some sort of international level management.

Give credit where credit is due, Ralph Koster made UO successful.
