Default Superbowl

Who watched and what did you think?

My thoughts:

The onside kick was impressive - you don't see plays called like that often in a high-stakes game. The brawl immediately afterward before the ref called who had possession was fairly amusing

The 2 point conversion - I really didn't think he got it at first. He did try hard. There was only one angle of the replays that it really looked like the ball broke the plane after he had possession but before he was officially down. I was surprised they overturned it - the ref was literally RIGHT THERE when it happened - of course it happens so fast it must be hard to tell. And, with the interception afterwards it didn't really matter as much.

Now the interception was impressive. He made it look so easy. Like the ball was meant for him. THAT was the play of the game by far.

Good game all in all - but I was totally unimpressed with most of the commercials. I think the Google commercial about Paris and the Budweiser commercial with the horse and the bull were the only ones that I thought were actually worth the amount of money paid to get into those ad slots (2.5 million for 30 secs).

PS - Yes Nyx is a girl who plays video games AND knows football

I cannot believe it but I got as far as the kick-off. I was so looking forward to it but I got so sick I had to take medicine and it put me to sleep QQ. I let them watch the game while I slept QQ.

From everything I;ve heard though it was not a game to miss >.< If I were a betting lady I wouldve lost some money lol. I thought for sure the Colts were going to win. I almost think the Colts thought that as well and took it for granted. Guess I'll watch the dvr later lol. QQ

I missed most of the game... I was on Bourbon Street!!!

I only got small flashes of the game thought the doorways of the bars. We always knew the score, just was far too many people to even think to stay in one spot and watch the game.

The party was still going strong when our group left for Mississippi at 2:00amCST this morning. Being the DD was a BLAST!! I have pics and blackmail material for life now!!! Think I may pass on the Saint Parade Tuesday, need to regen for Mardi Gras Weekend. (ugh monday with 3hr nap is fun...) Pass more Red Bull my way please.

OMG that sounds amazing! I'll bet it was uber exciting in New Orleans I've always dreamt of going there ever since I became a Anne Rice reader. Have you ever read nay of her books Barry? She details much of New Orleans, sounds so magical to me through her books. I wonder if it has drastically changed though from when she wrote her books considering the devastation that happened there QQ

I'm sooooo jealous that you were on Bourbon Street for the game. I LOVE that place. I bet it was awesome. I was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras in 2001 and loved it!

We took the Anne Rice tour that takes you by her house and then by all of the major landmarks described in her books. That was really cool!

Being from the Northeast I had no skin in the game, but I really don't like that sell out Peyton Manning, so I had to root for the Saints. Plus I always like it when the underdog triumphs

I very happy to see a great close game! Was not a waste of time at all.

Grats to all the Saints fans out there! You deserve it!

REALLY WISH I was on bourbon st. with barryz and all that must have been quite a party! Maybe as good as the one in Bean town when my Sox finally won.

As a matter of fact... only a few tho. Having lived in the region for a decade now, I have maybe a 100lbs in the attic. If they aren't nice enough to place around my own neck, they normally find their way to children if im still on the parade route (who would have thought a plastic trinket could bring so much joy), or a fun loving female on Bourbon St (who probably had 1 too many hand grenades, or pat o'brian's hurricanes) willing to remove clothing to collect them.

The French Quarter was packed all day yesterday (sunday). From Canal over to Jackson Square, up to Bourbon St. The crowd was mostly locals, but many were Mardi Gras tourists who were for the day Saints Fans. The Guys wearing dresses due to the saints being in the Superbowl were a sight to see. Odd, but still comical for the most part. Grats to the Saints and company for bringing some cheer to this corner of swamp gators and gulf shrimp.

To those planning trips to Nawlins', There is so much history in this town, you can not see it all in a month. Plan ahead, be ready for heat and humidy if visiting from may - september, be safe and bring a smile.

5 hour energy is wearing off... need sleep...

They are up in Seattle

Oh, a Nyx. Did I ever tell you that its a lie! Have you ever read rule #16? If not go to urban dictionary and search Rule #16! haha.

Overall, I don't care for either team but it was a great game. The thing I loved most about it was the Saints' clock management. Keeping Manning off the field for over an hour (including halftime) was probably the best thing for them to do and it paid off.
