Lore: The Music of Lineage

Lineage music gets boring after a while...especially when u grind in the same area over and over and over and over and over!

I also usually keep the game music off as it gets repetitive so easily. But I have to admit they have made some nice music in this game, definitely improvement from that .mid v1 & 2 that were playing everywhere in the old times. Guess it was those .mids that had made me forgotten there even was music in this game.

Then one day installed the client into another computer and that client of course had the default settings. Oh wow was it when just exploring the places I had been so many times before - the music really brought some depth into the game then for a while. My favourite is still the Oren out of the town music with it's piano. Even I have hunted way too many hours in OWL back in the time, I just hanged in there killing Elmores so I could hear that nice piano part of the music Even I have again grew bored to the in-game music, that Oren piece is still something I go listen time to time. Another nice piece I have not really heard in-game is the music10 - Vagabonds / Siege Lost. But maybe it's just that pretty much all the music in Finland is melancholic and it sounds cozy for me :P

All in all, very nice music, excluding maybe few hater-songs, like music83 - New Gludin and music56 - Traders Village (Aargh!). Without Lineage being such a one spot grinder, I think I would have the in-game music on much more. But currently the game just makes you want to carve your ears out after hunting few hundred hours in the same spot to earn that couple % of exp. and hearing the same music over and over. So far switching the music off instead has worked wonders however.

For instance when you hunt and hear a DE recast invis. (You can hear it even thou he is invisible), or when u fight and get para.

Very interesting. With my constant blond moments I think I made the right choice not going with pvp lol. I'd be hearing noises and be like, huh? Then I'm the ground crying lol. Still, that's awesome sound is utilized for pvp.

I love scandinavian music. I did spend also way to much time in Oren, as you know, and I still like hear to that one to, but it depends on mood. It is also the reason why I am unhappy with the environmental Sound bung on the Mac, because the broken loop ruins the atmosphere in Oren.

If you like Oren, then how about the Realm of Eva/Creation of Mage Theme?

Like 51 it is not played in any Season 2 Map. I assume that they belong to Season 3 Episode 1.

There is a MIDI file and it sounds like the 82 music, but the old MIDI file sounds more old'ish (it's a MIDI file after all!). That's the old'ish style that makes me prefer the old one to the #82 music.

the original of the song is definately the best. Then the 2nd midi that they made is just as amazing. Then in comes the new stuff. number 10 i love. 21. 8 (classic). 23..So many good ones..Lots of people dont like the music or turn off their sound and stuff. Its a shame. Lineage music is so beautiful. I sent joey newman an email telling him how awesome it was and all that and he replied he was so happy to have a fan who loved his music and all that. it was cool.


Unfortunately what Nyx said, some NC employees are actually doing over in aion. Our server was completely destroyed by NC. Tons of innocent people were banned for nothing. Some sort of scandal either NC was against the asmos on that server or the elmos were accusing all the asmo and in the end they banned half the asmodians on the server. 3 of the i know in rl who worked hard and grinded out full fenris sets early on and never did anyhting illegal. Now if you have more then 3 pieces of fenris on our server you get banned. Its a joke, so i quit aion. its back to lineage!

NC do make mistakes but most of the time the innocent isn't so innocent.

Mass bannings suck. We've had them on Lineage 1 before. Lots were cheaters and lots said they never cheated. Some got their accounts back while some still are gone whether it's because they got mad for being banned or they just decided to move on. Very hard on the population when your afraid something might get you banned.

OMG, thank you for listing this. I was actually naming these myself on my iPod playlist. Yeah, I have these on my iPod. It's actually nice to listen to on long road trips and airplane trips when I'm away from Lineage for a while. I'll probably listen to it while I'm at the beach tomorrow
