EP U Pro's and Cons's

trying to weigh the good and bad of this ep. kinda curious what people think of everything in this publish as a whole. to list a couple major pro's and con's ill start with my list

Pro
1.stat redo
2.pet drop pick up
3.summons(some)
4.new hunting areas

Cons

1.lag/bad cells
2.worthless pets/items
3.drop decrease across the board
4.exp buyback

exp buyback is a good thing. may not seem that way since you have to spend money to get your xp back, but inflation has run rampant since there is litterally nothing except pots (which in many cases pay for themselves in droped adena alone making them a mute point) taking money out of the game, people are sitting hundreds of mils just because there is so much money in the game right now, and while it sux to have to buy it back, removing millions from the game daily will be good for the game in the long run. This is one of those 'its for your own good' deals, that actually is for your own good.

i understand how the mechanics of the economy work i just dont agree on the placement of the punishment. to me death and the 1 % loss is penalty enough to not have to take a fee to it also. would have been better in my eyes to drain money by charging a tax on all items sold, say like 5-10% of gross item sold to the house.to me its like getting into a wreck and getting a ticket and if you lag out/dc its like getting a ticket you dont deserve.i know im in the minority on this one so i will leave it alone but that is my reasoning on it being a con im sure at higher level it works out but for now for me it's con.

Look at it more like this: it's like somebody running into you, and your insurance bill raises also because of it.

Buy back is good, but its a bit too hard on the pre lvl 65 players.
Wouldn't be much of problem if after buy back exp lost would remain at 1% for the lower lvls.
Too hard on lower lvl players could result in more adena buying, therefore bots.
However no amount of complaints can change this anymore.

Oh lordy, talking about politics is a game where people get to feel justified at labeling other people vaguely, then insulting them for their label.
I'm sure obama said stuff about pigs flying. He also said a lot of stuff that was written for him by a speech writer. And he's gonna win the next four years too, seeing as his top competition "can see Russia from (her) backyard."

But yeah, I would say the new exp system is a big pro, even with the botters. The new trick I use is to find out exactly where their bookmark is, and then wreck them at it a few times, 'til they come back to their computer. As long as they haven't gotten exp buyback automated, you can probably delevel one with a zero pk count, versus before, where it just inconvenience them for a couple days.
Ask Fere about all this. If he speaks fluent english yet, he'll tell ya.

I agree with vpink. we cant change it now, it is very hard on low lvl , new players. to buy it back, we all complained about this in a diff thread already its a dead horse here,
my Con is: The pet race being able to stop other players.

yep like they say no use crying over spilled milk, we voiced our opinion about it some pro some con. NC made thier decision its thier train if it derails they the ones driving it we just riding it.

im not sure whos crying . but this thread wasnt intended to beat out a dead horse. back to the subject. taking stock on the ep as a whole what are the positives and negatives as you see them. btw if it was beaten out totally im sure some of the other pros and cons would have been mentioned by now

Pro:
Dragons are getting killed again (although thats kinda a con to since its not by me qq)
Stat update made everyone alot stronger while everything pve remained the same, making all pve even more riddiculously easy
Cougar mages arn't as retardedly overpowered

Con:
You can't use dolls on lasta 4f

Question:
I keep forgetting to check, are cooked food still 100 weight each?

no... you can summon one outside and have its effect for the first 30minutes though... can usually get them to last through first set of timed bosses and sometimes into first or second boss of second set depending how fast your killing, but ya, can't summon them once you go in from the platform between 3f and 4f.

That has to be a bug. Dolls arent summons... they are more like spells lol.

My favorite thing is what a few have said, all of my characters are much stronger now. my STR Knight kills so fast, my str/dex de kills much faster with a bow now, Mage is all around much better/fun to play.

Weakness- Definately the lowered drop rates and changed drop tables. By now most know I dedicate my playing time to hunting for money/drops and not for xp. Well... this update erradicated 99% of my hunting areas of drops. The 1 place I can hunt for money now is ant caves but all my old haunts are cheap now... so sad QQ
