NC, What's next big project are you working on for lineage 1?

I would have to agree with the 'drop issue'.

I came back in the end of November and was surprised at how well most mop dropped. I was excited about the content update and the ability to have the stats actually give the benefits that logic would dictate.

However, after signing on and seeing the drop rate nerfed across the board the luster has waned. It is too grindy. I can survive but... why would I want to? I pay to play, not work.

I have a job. That's how I am able to pay to play. Key word here is 'play'. I've tried WoW... there's some beta's... and rather than look elsewhere, I would like to see the game go back to being fun to play. The multiple diamond drop from griffons was kooky but fun. Lizards that dropped well was nice when levelling new characters. And better drops in general is fun.

But, when the adena dries up and the items disappear, so does the fun.

All I can say is "WTF!? I'm not gonna PAY for this." Only NC can cure me of my Lineage addiction. Obviously they want to punish me for paying them. The thing is... I am not a masochist. So, I'll take a little abuse... but not much. Right now I am contemplating turning off monthly billing. If the drop issue continues I probably will not be paying much longer.

I'm never surprised when old ppl come back... every one does... lin is literally the only game you can come back to after a year or two not playing, and when you run out of stuff in other games, the same wars, same people, same grind, bossing and siege system is here for them to come back to... the nature of no lvl cap and the way they do updates in lin means the work you did on your char previously is never just gone when you come back cause of raised lvl caps ect, always able to come back and pick up where you left off.

I havn't had auto-pay on in over a year, lol... when i feel like paying i go pay a month and imediately cancel lol.

I'm disappointed with the drop rates too. It seems like the LoA style drop rates are gone after the update. Can Nyx comment if this is intentional or not?

LoA drop style was like, giants giving high amount of adena. Living armors giving lots of potions, gems. Iron golems giving irons(2), rough mithril. Dark elfs drops mithril arrows. Bow using mops droping rare wafer and many more examples.

This kind of drops are really helpful for low population server and the new players (if NC really wants new players). While in the past, it's exploited by the bots thus removed. But in truth it hurts the legit players even more, since they have to "work harder" in a GAME. We want to have fun when we pay to play a game, not "work". We have enough work in our real daily life. Keep in mind, we are not asking to be given everything. Just wanting it to be less tedious, but more fun. Plus the exp buy back along the lowered drops. It becomes like real life for some of the players, working so hard to survive.

This is a GAME not real life.

Much of what you said can be applied to the entire concept of Lineage in the NA market and they need to understand this is a game, everything about Lineage is tidious and extremely time consuming hence the painfully low population.


But this will not change unfortunately and it will keep new players away from the game as it has the last 10 years.

On the upside drops lower made alot of the adena farmers quit...some sold there chars and im seeing join bps and try to be reg players.maybe this low drop is good to deture them that farm adena on 4x and elsewere

drops are still good on 4X... with super-powered new stat system I can even solo there now lolz.

If about few years ago, i totally not surprised when old ppl come back, becuase myself quit and came back many time, so my friends. Some my real life friends already quit long time ago and i dont think they will come back to play again. I will have big surpirse if anyone of them come back. But i dont think going to happen, unless we open a new server, and do alot Advertising.

only time I'm surprised when ppl quit and come back is when they either blow or sell all their gear and delete or sell their char.
