Default Weapon Enchant Bonus

Okay, so lastnight we had a mini knowledge duel staring kazza and I joye.
Ninetysix asked us about the enchant bonus in weapons
Our answers have some difference and I wanted to know exactly what it is so I'm asking for help here

From what I have learned in the pass that each enchant +1 give 1 dmg, odd enchant give 1 dmg and even give 1 hit meaning difference between +7 weapon and 8 is 1 dmg and 1 hit
Difference between 8 and 9 is 1 dmg

What kaz said I think was each enchant give 2 dmg ( sry can't really remember exactly)

Anyone can help answer this plz
Thx =)

I've never heard of each enchant giving more or less than +1dmg each. Thought it was just +1 dmg for odds enchants, +1dmg/+1hit for even.

I wonder if there are any bonuses we don't know about cause +7 wep and +10 wep there is big difference in dmg but it's only 3 more dmg which doesn't seem like a lot

Maybe additional dmg is added as you get into the higher + (8, 9, 10)?

Perhaps it is +1dmg per enchant up to +9, and then there is a hidden dmg bonus for enchants that had a chance to go +0/+1/blow (e.g., +10, +11).

No idea, though. Only ever heard +1dmg per enchant, +1 hit on evens.

I think that comes from a ingame experience. Each + to hit makes you feel like you do more damage per hit. That is because you do in average. You miss less, thus you do more damage in a identical time.

I must give the "hidden bonus" a +.
Or are we all just crazy paying double or triple price for +1 damage

Sorry vpink but we are just that crazy it would seem. It has been thoroughly tested multiple times in the past, there is no "hidden" bonus assigned to any enchant. Whether that's +9-10, 10-11 or whatever. No matter what enchant you make an item, each + on it simply gives 1 damage. (Of course evens also give 1 hit as has already been stated.)

Makes you think about spending 100m+ for 1 damage doesn't it? haha

There is an urban legend that claims that getting high to-hit bonus will help you get better roll on the random part of your weapon.

Let's take an ori dagger for example. The base dmg of that weapon is 7/7, so the random part is a 7 sided dice. The legend claims that if you have high hit bonus, you will more often land critical hits or even just higher rolls (having low hit bonus will make you crit less often and have smaller rolls.

Personnaly, I belive in the legend. It seems logical to me that if you have high hit bonus, it would be easier to land a critical hit.

There have been in game tests about this since the begining of ndais and weapons lol.

+8 weapons are the start of getting your monies worth. +9, not so much considering the price difference, but that depends on some weapons. A +9 hbow for example already has a high hit so the extra damage is nice. A +9 KV sword, well you get 1 more damage if you can hit ;P

+10 would then become the next bang for your buck.

There have been damage tests done and swing for swing you dont get a hidden damage bonus, you get what it says on the weapon and your class bonuses/buffs/dolls. If you believe in a legend per sei, then just take a friend into a doorway and do a couple hundred hits with different weapons, the numbers will tell you the truth, very easy to see if this is a myth or not.
