weapon choice for 18con/18int/12str mage

i am thinking +9mithril dagger or +9pumpkin sword? let me know if u have another suggestion thx. btw I am poor so I am looking for something that's under 15mil.

Blessed mail breaker. Mages do not get the + to hit like melee classes.
A +8 Hunter's bow is a valuable tool for a mage as well.

Couldnt agree more with sarah. A +9 B-MB is pretty cheap and it hits about the same per hit as a +8 n-ori dagger on large undead. Ori dagger swings 8% faster so it totals slightly higher dps, but the fact that the B-MB has +14 hit vs the 4 hit for the ori makes a world of difference for a mage.

If you want to mix it up then you can get a +8bsof or Bapho staff. Be aware you will have to be fully buffed and cannot hunt enemies much higher level than you because you will miss more often than not.

Since the update I took my bapho staff out and was surprised to see I was killing fire warriors and fire archers in 1 hit if the proc went off the first hit, to me that must mean the proc is hitting very hard. It's crazy how effective a bapho staff can be in areas where you are hunting level 20-30 enemies like fv and oren waste lands.
