Hmm, ok. Whatsa binary and what would it fix?

Is it working as intended when green pouches drop zero sometimes?
Just wondering, cuz about a third of mine did just that.

We thought we fixed the problem with the Lucky Bags dropping zero, but they are still occasionally empty. We found the problem and when the event goes live, they shouldn't be empty.

Side note - got my first lepruchaun from a bag this morning. Little bugger dropped a lot more than I expected him to!!

Are the Leps like gremlins? Super fast and run away the second they pop out of a pine wand?

Binary Code. Computer logic. Basically something that should be a 1 is a 0 or a 0 is a 1 :P

Numerical switch needs to be turned off or on, or the values expressed with the switch needs to be reiterated.

Logged on test finally to do some event testing. No KG ring so no information there but I will say in a 30 minute hunt I was left with 24 bags. So that translates roughly to 5 bags per 30 mins on live? I hope.

Some bags gave massive quantities of High quality gems, I think either sets of 10 or 20, cant remember.

25% of them were empty but that'll be fixed. The one time I recieved blessed adena it was in the amount of 10,000. That is a good thing

So far I like but you never know how events on test pan out on live servers.

Sorry SJ, I was told that the drop rate on test server is much higher than live will be. (told by GM in person on test server) - they said that the theme is "luck" not "guaranteed drop" - oh well gonna be fun anyways!!

You forgot that test server has 5x drop rate?

On that note, from my personnal experience, the pouch o' gold doesn' drop enought from mop. I did a few hunts on test server and the highest amount of bag I got (per hour) was 35 bags. Considering it's 5x drop rate, that would mean 7 bags for an hour on live. Also, the drop rate of bravery crystal is kinda low (that wouldn't be a problem if we had more bags to open).

And btw, Lepruchaun will be a pain to kill for melee players, since they are the same sprite has the gremlins. They run away after the first hit... there are still ways to kill them w/o running too much, but some players will just lose theirs (and even other players can kill them w/o knowing it came from some1 else's bag.

About the green bags, it would have been nice if the probabilities to get other items than dwarf cloaks, ghaste pot and apples would be higher.

I think when they do these event tests on test server nowadays, the test server reflects the actual drops we'll get. It looked like 2x drops from the giants when I ran around and herded them, so it's looking like this will be the drops of live server.

Im not so sure about that, I hunted OWL for a while and was getting around 1.2-1.5k per elmore i killed, but some places only seemed like 2x drops rather than 5x.

Test server is 5x drops atm. You can notice it very easily when you hunt on toi 24f and nightmares gives you 5 c-oj's and a few c-clears.

An other way to test this is to find bosses that always drop a particular items. For example, the medusa in heine cave will drop you 5 blood of medusa, the Ratman for som quest will drop you 5 staff and the Giant worm in heine 4f will drop you 5 acid sap.

I am 100% sure that test server have the 5x drop rate atm.

Never mind, my kg rings were set on a diff timer. I was getting one at a time, but faster than expected .

On that note, timer doesn't seem to be reset everytime you log off or restart. If it would do so, my kg rings would give me my 2 lucky bags at the same time (i restarted with both kg rings equipped).

Oh, btw...the real timer is 18 mintues!

leprechauns are pretty quick and run away like gremlins. It takes a couple swings to kill them so they can take off.

Advice: Open them in an area where they can't get too far. As I lost one after it took off. They do like to pick up items, so I was able to lure him back with adena.

Regarding the drop rate on PTS - there are two different kinds of drop rates and I think people are confused about this.

For this event, we have a double probability drop rate - that means that if a mop normally has a 1 out of 100 chance to drop an item, during this event it has a 1 out of 50 chance to drop an item. You are more likely to get the item, but you won't get more of that item than you normally would.

On PTS, there is always 5x drop rate. So if you normally get 1 ogre blood, you can potentially get 5 ogre bloods (you still have to factor in the probability issue - you may get 1 ogre blood, you may get 3, you may get 5).

So for the purpose of testing this event - both kinds of drop rates are active on PTS. You still have the 5x drop but you also have double probability of drops. So on test you will see an item drop more often AND more of it will drop. On live, you will only see it drop more often.

The first time I ever had somebody walk through me I was very young in lineage. They walked through me like everyone does sometimes and I was shocked. I asked how they did that. She told me she had a cloak of displacement lol. There used to be an item called the cloak of displacement but it was never implemented :P

Thanks for the explanation Nyx. Makes sense so the question is.... why not flip the 5x AND 2x switch on live? o.o Fair question I think :P
