Should we have a help new player thread?

The trouble is 1. My gf never plays any game before other than minesweeper. 2. She doesn't understand the value of the items I gave to her.

So if I give her everything she needs, then she doesn't get to enjoy the fun of item drops, but if I don't, then the game is too hard for her.

I think its a great idea - in fact I will see if I can start a whole new section of the forums for New Players. If we do this please please please remember to be very courteous to new players - even if some of them ask the same question for the 947th time. Also remember that things that seem obvious to you are completely confusing to new people. For instance, for a quite awhile I could teleport to gtz on my GM character, but I didn't actually know how to get there with my real character!

I am in the process of getting the legal department to approve the guides thing so that we can reward players who write guides. I have also been going through other sections of the website. It is quite a daunting task, but I intend to update the pages, the info, the links - so that new players have useful sources of info. I am hoping to enlist help from you guys identifying bad and outdated info and replacing it.

I used to be the girl who never played games until my husband installed diablo on my pc and told me I would like it.

Turns out he was right. Because of Diablo I play everything else now lol. I think it was that I was afraid to get into gaming because I thought it was too advanced for me. I also didnt think it was interesting until I sat down and played diablo and became engrossed with the storyline and wanting to develop my character more and more.

My husband tried to get me to play lineage before and I didnt care for it in the begning. He then got me Neverwinter nights and I went on to play that like a mad woman lol. I played for hours and hours and loved the story. Then finally I gave lineage a try and here I am. I am one of the people who could almost answer every question and knows a lot about many thing in game and a little about almost anything in game. Crazy how things work out lol.

Maybe you should try that out with her. You never know.

Nyx is going to get herself fired QQ. Not fired like that but she will do so well that NC will move her. I just know it QQ It will be a sad day when that happens QQ

Edit: Sad but happy day. Sad she is leaving but happy she is getting promoted.
