Ill have to side with the support with this one. No one could be held responsible for you careless.
It sucks, its not fair, but so what? Things like this didn't just happend, its been going on a lot longer, buying selling accounts then hacked back.
Id suggest try to becareful if someone ask you for items be sure its them, ask them log on his main character or log on vent. If they really needed help they won't mind proving their identity.

Well guess it doesn't need to be said but doesn't look like anything will be done about him scamming people since i saw him logged on earlier today. Hopefully he will get what he deserves in the long run but as of right now doesn't look like he will.

I spoke with customer service. Technically, none of the terms of service have been violated and we cannot ban someone if they have not violated the ToS.

Please note however, we can ban people for disruptive behavior. If we decide that something a player has done is deemed disruptive behavior, we will warn the player and then if the behavior continues to be reported, the player will be banned.

Trust is hard enough to come by. How about learn to read? He didn't notice a difference in a name or anything?? This guy obviously isn't very quick on the uptake. Sure, we all feel bad but come on. There are scams around every corner. If he willingly gave his gear to another player he's screwed. End of story.

Appreciate the words of support Lady though i am not worried about words from someone that doesnt know the whole situation. I consider myself lucky in some ways to have found friends in the game that do worry about me. After playing for 11 years thats a good thing.
